Talons' defense leads way |

MIKE BROWN World Sports Writer
Tulsa shuts out Bossier's offense just in time to keep its 14-game win streak intact.
Just like clockwork, it seems, the
Talons defense turned up the pressure late in the third quarter and
paved the way to another comeback win when things looked dark Saturday
night.

The Tulsa Talons scored 21 unanswered points to erase a
nine-point, third-quarter deficit, and rallied for a 57-43 win over the
Bossier-Shreveport Battle Wings to stay unbeaten in af2 play before
5,235 at the Convention Center.
Tulsa improved to 6-0 in 2008 and stretched its
franchise-record winning streak to 14 over two seasons, tying for the
fourth-longest in af2 history. The Talons also won their ninth straight
against the Battle Wings and stretched their lead to 10-1 in a series
that started in 2001. |
